Volunteers Needed

Volunteers make our world go 'round and have been integral to keeping the retreat center operating during our 50-plus years. The retreat center is in need of volunteers in the following areas. If you have a few hours that you can contribute to the center, we would greatly appreciate it.

Garden Volunteer:

Garden Volunteers are asked to maintain one of our eight medium-sized flower garden plots. Volunteers are asked to stop by every other week or more to water, weed, transplant, etc. Gardeners may share plants between plots or, with prior approval add plants of their own to their plots. It's a fun group that we have help with this. You may be able to coordinate your volunteer times with other gardeners it you'd like or simply come as you please.

Yard Volunteer:

Mowing, tree trimming, clearing trails and more. Mostly weekly throughout the growing season. We have excellent equipment and currently have a team of about five. 

Sacristan:

This person monitors the altar linens, altar breads, wine and other materials in the Sacristy. The altar linens need to be washed and ironed according to simple guidelines. The vestments need to be dry-cleaned on a regular basis and their physical condition needs to be monitored. Initially, this volunteer would assist Fr. Jim Kent with re-organizing materials in the sacristy. Time commitment: 2 hours per month.
