Fr. Richard Kaley, OFM Conv.

As a Franciscan priest for 50 years, Fr. Richard has served as an associate pastor, vocation director, novice director, campus minister and, for almost 30 years, a pastor for 4 different parishes. 

During that time, he was also the Vicar Provincial for 7 years and chaired several different commissions for the Conventual Franciscan friars in the United States.

In 2025, Fr. Richard moved to the Friary at the Franciscan Retreat Center where he is now preaching retreats and offering spiritual direction. Fr. Richard’s warm smile and sense of humor are enjoyed, making others quickly feel at ease. 

He also enjoys wood carving, making statues and relief carvings. Fr. Richard is a big Vikings fan and enjoys a good game of cards.
